At the minimum a set of aphorisms consists of a pair of aphorisms. To each member of the pair may or may not be linked additional aphorisms, usually one to four, but sometimes as many as seven. The linked aphorisms support, explain, illustrate, expand on, or occasionally contradict the original aphorism.
